Cuong Dang

Cuong Dang is a Ph.D. student in the Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. His advisor is Ruoxi Jia. 

His research focuses on post-training frontier language models for complex, interactive applications, with an emphasis on coding agents, tool use, and long-horizon reasoning. He studies how supervision, data selection, and training objectives shape agents’ capabilities and reliability over extended interaction trajectories, with the broader goal of developing scalable post-training methods for robust and autonomous artificial intelligence systems.
