Jennifer Alexandra Thompson

Jennifer Alexandra Thompson is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Science.  She is advised by Sara Hooshangi.

Her research focuses on broadening participation in computing education, with specific regard to how socioeconomic status impacts a student’s enrollment, performance, retention, and self-efficacy in computing.

Thompson has  also researched equitable grading practices, self-regulation of computer science students, and online learning environments.
