Mitchell Gerhardt

Mitchell Gerhardt is a Ph.D. student in Engineering Education and a master's degree student in computer science.  He is advised by Sara Hooshangi.

His research explores engineering expertise in an era shaped by generative artificial intelligence (GAI). He is particularly interested in how GAI tools are transforming the ways in which engineering expertise is developed, displayed, recognized, and trusted. His work asks how these technologies can be thoughtfully integrated into engineering and CS education to enhance learning and practice, while also considering the challenges they produce for expertise development and expert-dependent societies.Add bio here
