Xiaolong Li was a Ph.D. student in the Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.  He was advised by A. Lynn Abbott. His research is in the area of computer vision, with a focus on deep 3D representations learning for dynamic scene understanding.

Xiaolong Li is a Ph.D. student in computer engineering. His main interest is in computer vision, with a focus on deep 3D representations learning for dynamic scene understanding.  “Building robust smart algorithms will help machines understand the 3D world around us,” Li said.

Xinyue Wang was a Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Science.  His advisor was Edward Fox. Wang’s research focuses on web archive processing and analysis infrastructure through distributed computation.

Ping Wang was a Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Science.  She was advised by Chandan Reddy. Wang’s research focuses on question answering, graph mining, information extraction, and survival analysis with their applications in the healthcare domain.

Tian Shi was a Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Science.  His advisor was Chandan Reddy. Shi’s research focuses on natural language processing, data mining, and machine learning with their applications in E-commerce.

Shailik Sarkar is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Science.  He is also pursuing the NSF-sponsored UrbComp certificate. His advisor is Chang-Tien Lu.   Sarkar’s research focuses on spatial data mining and application of machine learning in health analytics.
