Pinar Yanardag

Pinar Yanardag is an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science where she leads the Generative Modeling Lab (GEM Lab) and core faculty at the Sanghani Center.
Her work delves into the interpretability and explainability of generative models. She explores their applications in human-AI collaboration, creative processes, and tackles key challenges like fairness and bias in generative modeling.
Yanardag earned her Ph.D. from the Department of Computer Science at Purdue University and completed her postdoctoral research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Media Lab.
