Jaganmohan Chandrasekaran

Jaganmohan Chandrasekaran is a research assistant professor at the Sanghani Center.

His research interest is at the intersection of software engineering and artificial intelligence, focusing on addressing the engineering challenges in building, deploying, and maintaining AI‐enabled software systems. His research aims to advance the state of the art in evaluating AI systems by developing methods, approaches, and tools to test and ensure that AI systems are reliable, safe, and trustworthy.

His current research includes addressing the test and evaluation challenges across the machine learning-enabled software systems lifecycle; developing a comprehensive test framework to measure the capabilities of Large Language Models (LLMs); and investigating the applicability of combinatorial testing to address the assurance challenges in emerging AI technologies.

Prior to joining the Sanghani Center, Chandrasekaran was a postdoctoral researcher at the Virginia Tech National Security Institute. He earned his master’s and Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Texas at Arlington.
