Amarachi Mbakwe Madu is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Science. Her advisor is Ismini Lourentzou. Madu’s research focuses on applying Artificial Intelligence and natural language processing to finance and healthcare.

Hulya Dogan was a master’s degree student in the Department of Computer Science.  Her advisor was Ismini Lourentzou. Dogan’s research interests are social media analysis, machine learning, and natural language processing.  Her current research focuses on extracting information and developing insight from social media on current social issues.

Meghana Holla was a master’s degree student in the Department of Computer Science. She was advised by Ismini Lourentzou. Holla’s research focuses on machine learning and deep learning applied to natural language processing and multimodal problems at the intersection of language and vision.

Gaurang Karwande was a master’s degree student in the Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He was advised by Ismini Lourentzou. Karwande’s research focus is in the field of artificial intelligence and its applications in healthcare, more specifically medical imaging and precision medicine.
