Rojin Rezvan
Rojin Rezvan is postdoctoral associate in the Department of Computer Science, working with Ali Vakilian, assistant professor in computer science and core faculty at the Sanghani Center.
Prior to joining Virginia Tech, she received a Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Texas at Austin. She holds a master's degree in computer science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Her research as a Ph.D. student was broadly on theoretical computer science, with a particular focus on algorithmic game theory and mechanism design. She also worked on design of fair algorithms and fair division.
Currently, Rezvan is working on the design of scalable algorithms for practical problems such as school redistricting. She also considers problems in the intersection of incentive design, algorithm design, and learning theory like strategic classification. And, she is considering LLMs in terms of their effectiveness in addressing theoretical computer science and combinatorial problems by designing appropriate benchmarks for testing as well as understanding the reasons behind their shortcomings.
