Reza Mazloom
Reza Mazloom is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Science. He is co-advised by Lenwood Heath at the Sanghani Center and Boris A. Vinatzer in the School of Plant and Environmental Sciences.
He researches data-driven prokaryotic genome organization and identification, using Life Identification Numbers (LINs) to cluster genomes, compare them with taxonomy, and support rapid strain-level query assignment. Mazloom's research focuses on applying machine learning techniques to solve real world problems. He is currently working on bacterial genome classification using Life Identification Number (LIN) and deep learning approaches.
